The STREAMLINE D front press system is the consequential development from an exclusive agreement with SIMBA International to employ the established DD press ring in front mounted equipment.
The new Streamline D has a single row of 700mm diameter DD rings - the largest available - fitted into the main section of the press frame and run on a split axle.  This allows a speed differential between the rings for easier steering correction in work.

Proven over all soil types, DD rings combine a wide shoulder and a self sharpening cutting edge with excellent clod shattering and cutting performance to both cultivate and consolidate the seedbed.  The rings overall profile also provides a degree of flotation to maintain a consistent depth.

This flotation effect is of particular benefit on light soils where traditional presses can bulldoze and increase draft.    DD rings are also well suited to soils with a high moisture content, the shape of the rings preventing soil from getting plucked up at the rear of the press in loose or wet conditions.

Features of the Streamline D system include:

·   The proven LYNX steering headstock system automatically centralises the press into the transport position when raised for headland turns.  This results in improved stability, and improved operator comfort, as the press is centralised automatically for the start of the next bout.

·   The standard patented levelling board system is constructed from individual elements with replaceable wearing plates.  The elements are mounted directly between the DD rings, and are positioned within the rings circumference therefore guiding any clods into the ring to be shattered and consolidated.  Soil passing below the levelling point will be pushed into the ground, createing a level and consolidated surface, across the whole press working width.

·   The purpose designed screw adjusters allow easy and fine angle adjustment of the levelling board.  This enables the levelling board angle to be set for the soil conditions.  When working in uneven conditions where aggressive levelling is required, the board can be adjusted to an upright position, this will carry more soil, and improve levelling performance.  For improved consolidation between the rings in even conditions the levelling board can be angled back, also reducing the power requirement.

·   Side deflector boards are also a standard feature on the Streamline D system.  The deflectors will ‘hold’ the soil in the levelling board zone, ensuring that soil passes under the press, and preventing the soil from spilling onto drilled or cultivated areas.

·   Scrapers are mounted on the underside of the rear press frame. These are not designed to make contact with the rings, but are to free any clods which have jammed between the rings, and to retain the shape of the DD rings in very wet and sticky conditions.

·   All Folding models have check valves supplied as standard, mounted to double acting rams.  This offers many advantages including; powering down of the folding wings for work, with the check valves hydraulically locking the wings into the working position.  For road transport and storage, a rigid bar is fitted between the folded wings for improved safety, this is stored on the press headstock when not in use.  All folding systems fold to a transport width of 2.8m or less.

OPTIONS Include:

  • Rigid Tines:  Designed for use in a plough based system, ideal for heavy land.  These tines are  manufactured from a high quality Boron steel, and are fitted with a reversible point.  The straight leg design of the tine results in minimal soil lift, therefore minimising the chances of lifting wet soil and stones to the surface.  The rigid tines are individually depth adjustable, and are all protected by a shear bolt allowing aggressive use such as working in dry hard rolled ploughed land.
  • Spring Tines: Supplied with 2 rows of heavy duty straight leg 12 x 32mm spring tines. These tines have a 'vibrating' effect which enhances their cultivating effect, whilst the straight leg of the tine prevents any lifting of the light land and for min-tillage drilling system to disturb the 'chitted' seed prior to drilling.
  • Hydraulic Levelling board adjustment: This option allows 'on the go' angle adjustment of the levelling board system fron the tractor cab.
  • Choice of tine frmae configuration: The 1.5m Streamline D press system can be specified with a choice of tine frame working widths, with the option of a folding tine frame if required.
